Bruce Chongman Ham is a Personal Growth and Holistic Health coach, energy therapist and spiritual healing practitioner with over 30 years of hands-on experience supporting individuals through stress, burnout, emotional challenges and life transformations.

Born in Seoul, South Korea and later moving to the United States at the age of 17, Bruce grew up immersed in Asian healing traditions. His father, an acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner, was his first mentor and shaped Bruce`s deep understanding of Asian healing methods and theories from an early age. Alongside this, Bruce dedicated many years to martial arts training, achieving grandmaster-level in Taekwondo, Hapkido,

Qi Gong and Tai Chi, which continues to influence his grounded and integrative approach today.

With formal training across multiple healing disciplines – including massage therapy, Kinesio taping, energy and spiritual healing, shamanic practices, and emotional release therapy – Bruce brings these modalities together in a distinctive, integrated system of holistic health.

Additionally, Bruce studied Chinese metaphysics, with a focus on Ba Zi and Qi Men Dun Jia. He began his studies in 2000 with Grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai and has continued advanced training for nearly two decades under Dato Joey Yap.

Bruce ran a successful private practice for holistic health and massage therapy in Naples, Florida from 1995 to 2008, worked at the renowned Gesundheitszentrum Lanserhof in Austria, and since 2010 has operated his private practice for Stress Management and Holistic Balance in Munich, Germany. Alongside his practice, he teaches online and live seminars on a variety of subjects across Europe, the United States and Asia.

Today, Bruce works with individuals, professionals, and business leaders who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or out of balance. Through a holistic approach that integrates bodywork, energy and spiritual practices, coaching and Chinese metaphysics, he supports clients in restoring clarity, stability and alignment – empowering them to make confident decisions, find direction, manage stress effectively, and move forward with purpose.

Bruce’s Path in Martial Arts

Bruce's personal journey with Martial Arts began in childhood in South Korea. As a shy and introverted child, he was introduced to Taekwondo at the age of eight. Through consistent training, he developed confidence, discipline and a strong sense of self – marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for martial arts.

Over the years, he expanded his training into Hapkido, Jujitsu,

Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Judo, Kali and Muay Thai. Bruce achieved

6th Dan in Taekwondo, 7th Dan in Hapkido, and master levels in Tai Chi and Qi Gong. As a teenager, he competed successfully and won titles including the Korean Junior Championships in Taekwondo.

From 1994 to 2008, Bruce owned and directed the Omni Martial Arts Academy in Naples, Florida, where he taught and guided students of all ages and backgrounds.

Today he leads the Ki Hapkido Academy, which he founded in 2018, and conducts regular training in Ki Hapkido and self-defence.

More than a Martial Art

Martial Arts shaped who Bruce is – far beyond the sports. It taught him how important inner strength, respect and resilience are - not only for training but for life.

Today, these values continue to accompany Bruce and influence his holistic work with clients who seek more balance, confidence and personal growth.

Martial Arts is not about fighting others.

It is about mastering yourself – and walking your path with strength and integrity.
